Peninsula Fresh Organics
Organic Kai Lan (Chinese Broccoli / Gailan) - Australian
Fresh new season Certified Organic Kai Lan - bio-dynamic - super high in nutrients.
Portions: various minimum bunch weights available
Biodynamic certified means it is premium organic produce which carries significantly higher nutrients through very rich soil.
Kai Lan is very similar in flavour to broccoli, although slighty stronger and earthier. It is extremely popular in Chinese cuisine, where it can be steamed or sauteed, most frequently with the choice of ginger and garlic or oyster sauce. However, feel free to adapt it to Western palates with a dab of organic grass-fed butter, pink salt, or shavings of organic Parmesan.
Kai Lan is low in calories and high in fibre, and also a great source of vitamin K, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B9 and vitamin B2. It also contains the minterals: manganese, calcium, potassium, and magnesium.
